Displaying a keen ear and mind for music at the tender age of 7-years-old, Nick Sneed tirelessly arranged his bedroom as a recording studio and stage while singing Prince, Musiq Soulchild, and Brandy for inspiration.
A product of a musical family, Nick Sneed gained his appreciation and adoration for harmonies while listening to his mother’s soulful riffs fill each room of their house. At age 12, Nick Sneed set his sights on forging his dream of becoming a musician into a reality when he signed to Deezo West Entertainment. He parted ways with Deezo West after deciding to produce, manage, and release his own music independently while pursuing his Physics degree at Howard University.
Leveraging his collegiate experience, Nick Sneed has continued to expose himself to many opportunities to grow as a musician and vocalist. Delivering velvety vocals dripping with recurring real-life, romantic themes, he began performing in various clubs, building a memorable name for himself on the live music circuit. In 2010, Nick Sneed released his 12-track debut album, Sleeping Giant: One Eye Open, which garnered great reviews.
With great artists like Miguel, Bruno Mars, Franks Ocean, and Justin Timberlake in mind, Nick Sneed’s musical prowess has led him to open for Rick Ross, Marsha Ambrosius, and more. His hot single ‘Black Widow’ recently found its way to 93.9 WKYS’s own DJ Money, who started placing Nick Sneed’s song in heavy rotation, and he continues to receive rotation requests.
